Company overview, philosophy & ethics

Founded in 2002, Sumerian provides IT Analytics that deliver insight into the strategic and operational capability of IT services.

Sumerian IT Analytics is a combination of pioneering data-driven analytics and pragmatic human expertise. This unique pairing supplies actionable insight* that elevates enterprise IT environments to new levels of proactiveness and strategic business alignment.

Why the name?

Our name was inspired by the Sumerian, an innovative people who are credited as being one of the world’s earliest civilisations, circa 3500 BC.

The Sumerians built unique stepped pyramids known as ziggurats – the representation of which we use within our company logo. The ziggurat illustrates the steps we take to transform data into intelligence – with raw data as a base and gradual, pragmatic steps to transform the data into focussed insight.

Sumerian Foundation

Sumerian Foundation logo

Building a great business is not the only answer to the problems of the world we live in. So at Sumerian we have a policy of investing a percentage of our profits into programmes that support child education around the world.

To deliver on this, we established the Sumerian Foundation - a UK registered charity that provides a source of long-term funding and support to help educate and care for children in the developing world.
