Leading analyst firm Gartner names Sumerian 2011 "Cool Vendor" in IT Operations Management.

Sumerian is delighted to announce that it has been included in the 2011 list of  "Cool Vendors in IT Operations Management" report by Gartner, Inc.

Authored by Milind Govekar, David M. Coyle, Debra Curtis, Ronni J. Colville and Will Cappelli, the report featured a select group of vendors who were recognised as innovative, impactful and intriguing within the operations technology community.

According to the report, IT operations management is a market that has seen astounding innovation in recent years and is becoming an increasingly important area of focus for business leaders. The report notes, "To improve business intelligence for IT, it has become necessary to use IT analytics to solve routine, yet critical, issues such as capacity planning, service management reporting and application performance."
