Senior Analyst

Purpose of the position

  • To provide clients with insight on their IT solutions by using Sumerian analysis methodologies and tools. The Senior Analyst is a key customer facing role to define and deliver analysis which provides tangible insight to our clients.

Main responsibilities

  • Ownership of key deliverables to clients
  • Write reports and present results to clients
  • QA analytical deliverables before delivery to clients
  • Provide support and mentoring to Graduate Analysts and Analysts
  • Participate in workshops with clients and the Account Management team to scope analysis, facilitate delivery and present results
  • Win trust of customer contacts, building excellent relationships
  • Keep informed of market trends and new technology
  • Interface with other areas of the business to meet objectives:
    • Account management and/or Client Delivery Manager to help scope, run and deliver analysis
    • Client Delivery Manager to improve efficiency, quality and value of analytical services
    • Back office to raise issues with data challenges

Scope/measurement of performance

  • Delivery of analysis to required timelines and quality standards
  • Peer reviews and customer feedback
  • Managing multiple commitments across clients
  • Ability to interface with other areas of the business and with customer contacts as appropriate
  • Meet team KPIs defined by Client Delivery Manager
  • Contribution to continuing process improvement

Qualifications/skills required

This is a critical role for Sumerian. The candidate must display values and performance acumens that are vital to our business success.

Must have:

  • University degree or equivalent
  • 6+ years experience in Consultancy, Financial, IT or technology role
  • Proven track record in providing data driven analysis, whether it be financial, technical or process related
  • First class customer facing skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Track record of engaging from technical to senior management level
  • Data import and modelling experience
  • Self starter: ability to work on own initiative, but being able to turn to the appropriate employee when support is needed.
  • Fully flexible for frequent travel to client sites

 Experience in some of the following areas is desirable:

  • Large Enterprise IT infrastructure
  • SQL and data warehousing
  • Working in a SME
  • Capacity and performance management
  • Financial Sector
  • Telecoms and network architecture
  • Alignment of business and IT
  • Statistical analysis
